Kata Rocks colleagues came together in late September to donate blood in collaboration with the Thai Red Cross.
All colleagues were encouraged to participate and give blood in honour of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. They initially set a target of 25 individuals to give blood on the day and were very gratified when a total of 51 colleagues stepped up to donate a pint of blood for a very worthy cause.
This comes as Kata Rocks continues to increase its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) profile and charity-based work around Phuket after a busy calendar of CSR activities and events the year before.
Kata Rocks organised its own charitable events and supported local charitable organisations that work directly to assist those in need. Its CSR outreach programme and charitable activities included a wide spectrum of events to involve as many communities as possible. Phuket’s community-based philanthropy usually evolves from local temples or mosques, non-government organisations (NGOs) or from a direct activity organised by the resort.
