Set to become the ultimate private venue for wine aficionados in Phuket, the cellar offers diners bespoke wine classes, tastings, food and wine pairings as well as private events.
Located beneath the infinity pool; the Wine Cellar features a grand dining table as alongside luxe leather chairs, an array of unique wines lined on one side of the cellar, as well as a state-of-the-art Enomatic wine experience system.
This is one of the few wine cellar in Phuket that is stocked with over 300 wine labels, and over 14 different wines by the glass on offer. Iconic Grand Cru selections include Saint-Estephe, Bordeaux and white Burgundy as well as Domaine Etienne Sauzet. Premium vintages extend to the Loire Valley and Mosel.
The Enomatic system, known the world over as a technological marvel, allows wine connoisseurs, and those who want to learn more, to experience a curated selection of some of the world’s finest wines by the glass. Guests can choose, pour and try wines themselves, where this experience is incorporated into the Kata Rocks series of high-end wine-related events.
Kata Rocks’ Head Sommelier is set to showcase a number of expert events in the cellar such as the ‘Cheese and Wine Tasting Experience’, priced at THB 1,200 ++ per person. This event is a culinary journey exploring three cheeses and three wines.
Alternatively, guests can take part in an educational ‘Cheese and Wine Master class’ starting at THB 1,800 ++ with three gourmet cheeses and three premium wines. A series of insightful classes aim to reveal the details behind making wine, what to look for when tasting wine, as well as the details of how to pair wine and cheese perfectly.
Sit-down tasting events are intimate, with only 12 guests per group so guests are encouraged to reserve a space before each event.
Ideal for pre-wedding tastings or dinners for small groups, it is available for exclusive hire for private events with dedicated and personalized activities being created to match guests’ tastes.
