PHUKET, 7 December, 2017 – Two exciting Bangkok-based artists bring their visionary talents to this year’s Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous (KRSR).
Sculptor Arnaud Nazare-Aga will exhibit an impressive collection of his colourful, voluptuous work starting from KRSR that will stay in residence at the luxury resort until 28 February 2018.
Joining him at KRSR is the British-born furniture designer Alexander Lamont, who has spent over 20 years in Asia, incorporating local craftsmanship and materials into his impeccable and highly collectible designs
Alexander is renowned for his powerfully tactile and organic furniture, lighting, wall coverings, accessories and designs that are rooted in touch. He is creating signature ‘Alexander Lamont gifts’ for guests attending the KRSR Benetti Dinner, and is also providing luxury decorations and ornamental table settings for VIP guests at both the Benetti and Feadship Dinners.
“Like a sophisticated ‘yacht’, our furniture and accessories are created with the most delicate and genuine materials, carefully crafted by gifted artisans. We believe that nurturing the beauty of each piece helps them capture the imagination as well as yachts attending this event.
“It was only natural that I wanted to bring our products to the very connoisseurs that will attend the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous,” Alexander added.
Arnaud’s colourful sculptures are installed in mainly public and private spaces, hotels and architectural spaces in Asia and worldwide. He is also known for interactive works for sight impaired individuals. His work elicits a large amount of public appreciation from viewers in Europe and around the world, and offers viewers a unique perspective on life that often elicits amusement and pleasure. Arnaud’s signature style is inspired by sensual lines and gentle roundness.
The KRSR organising committee is delighted to welcome Arnaud and Alex on board as partners and invites all participants to enjoy their work both on display and at the esteemed KRSR dinners.
All of Arnaud Nazare-Aga’s sculptures at Kata Rocks are for sale, with small panels next to them displaying information and pricing details. For those looking to learn more about Alexander Lamont’s furniture and collectables at either of his two Bangkok showrooms please go to www.alexanderlamont.com
