Yacht Style magazine has named Infinite Luxury and Kata Rocks CEO Richard Pope as one of ‘Asia’s Top Yachting Personalities’, joining an elite group of individuals who the publication recognises as those who have helped develop and shape the yachting industry around the Asian region.
A UK-born entrepreneur, property developer and businessman with over 30 years of industry experience, Pope is the founder and one of the principle organisers of the high profile Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous (KRSR). In just four short years the KRSR has helped place Phuket firmly on the international superyacht map along with more established cruising grounds like the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
“Obviously I am delighted to be named one of ‘Asia’s Top Yachting Personalities’ by Yacht Style. It recognises the influence that the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous has had in helping put Phuket top-of-mind with the global yachting industry,” Pope, said. “However it would not be possible without the incredible support from the yachting industry, and the hard work of our colleagues at Infinite Luxury.”
Pope is also the Chairman of Hemisphere Monaco, a superyacht management company, based in Monaco.
Yacht Style’s annual listing of the top yachting personalities in Asia remains one of the publication’s signature features. Its aim continues to recognise people driving dealerships, brokerages and charter, leaders of national or regional organisations, marina investors and operators, high-profile and adventurous yacht owners, shipyard owners and leaders, successful sailors, and those bringing new brands, concepts or trends into the Asian region.
