Phuket’s Best Sunset Bar

Phuket’s Best Sunset Bar

Kata Rocks offers a stunning seaside location to enjoy a sunset cocktail with someone special.

So what does 180-degrees of oceanfront panorama do for your sunset drinks you might ask? It pretty much turns every evening into a romantic event that could last a lifetime.

Kata Rocks Bar and Restaurant faces due west and ticks every five-star box a sunset experience might require. For starters, let our talented mixologists combine a creative drinks menu with Phuket’s best selection of free tapas at one of the bar side seats if you like to watch cocktail magic or find new friends. Otherwise, you can choose to lounge on daybeds (sunset beds?), a large selection of comfy outdoor sofas or pull up to a poolside table to take in the daily light show.

Every day from 5:30pm to 7:30pm guests can settle in at Kata Rocks to view Phuket’s best sunset while feasting on a creative selection of Executive Chef Laia Pons’ Spanish inspired tapas and sipping frosty cocktails by the resort’s 35-metre swimming pool.

Our complementary tapas offering is available with any drink ordered from extensive list of creative cocktails available at Kata Rocks.  These range from contemporary tropical cocktails or an ice cold beer to a wine list featuring 24 wines by the glass, ensuring there is always the perfect drink and sunset waiting for every guest.

Most popular cocktails at Kata Rocks offer unique twists on tropical classics. These include a refreshing Passion Fruit Mojito made with rum, fresh passion fruit juice, lime and soda, Kata Rocks’ house Mai Tai and a ‘Lycheetini’ made with vodka, lychee, palm sugar and lime juice.

After sunset we recommend dining in our restaurant (rated by the Thailand Tatler Magazine Best Restaurant Guide as one of Phuket’s finest) where Chef Laia creates nightly magic from a Mediterranean inspired menu (flavoured with a touch of her Spanish heritage).
